Emma Woodhouse

I knit this sweater way back – in June of last year. In fact it was sweater number 6 of my 12 sweaters in 12 months challenge. And now I can finally share it with everyone!

.

The pattern, Emma Woodhouse, is my latest design with Tangled, in their winter issue. They have some lovely patterns for knitting, crochet, and patterns that combine both! This issue has a whole set of patterns dedicated to Jane Austin characters.

My sweater is knit up with two weights of yarn. The body is done in DK and the lace is worked in fingering weight yarn. I used Madelinetosh for both weights and believe the yarns play very well together.

.

The whole body is knit in the round with turned hems at the body and cuffs to make a completely smooth, sleek body. The lace is knit by picking up sts on the body for an almost seamless garment. If you worked provisional cast-ons you could knit the hems to the body for a COMPLETELY seamless sweater. I just like seaming a bit better then provisionally casting on hundreds of stitches…

You can queue and favorite Emma Woodhouse on Ravelry, or just purchase it right from Tangled. I hope you enjoy it!
