Cuckoo Clock is the eighth pattern released for my Time on my Hands e-book. These fancy mittens have twisted cables to show off your stitchwork. The simple ribbed cuffs grow naturally into the cables which divide, twist around each other, and taper off at the top. You can favorite and queue them on Ravelry.
The pattern is written in three sizes: 9 (10.25, 11.25)”/23 (26, 28.5) cm hand circumference. The cables are charted, so you will need to know how to read charts. These mittens are knit in Yarn Love’s Diana in the Whisper colorway which is subtly dyed and perfect for showing off the cables. You’ll need 233-332 yards depending on the size and US1 and US2 needles.
The pattern is available on its own for $5 or as part of the e-book collection which gives a significant savings over buying the patterns individually. Clicking the button above will take you to an automated paypal checkout where you can pay with credit/debit card or paypal balance. The download will automatically be e-mailed to you, and added to your Ravelry library if you have an account there. Thanks to Ravelry for making this feature available to members and non-members alike!
Twisted stitch cables and chalet style cuckoo clocks are both frequently associated with Austria. These white mittens are meant to bring to mind the snow covered alps and a really good mug of hot chocolate.
